Journal
A quiet place to write while you read Scripture — private by default, shared only when you choose.
Writing an entry
- From the Journal page, choose New entry.
- Or while reading the Bible: tap a verse (or several), then choose Journal this — the entry opens already linked to that passage.
- Entries have an optional title and an optional passage link (book, chapter, verse range). The passage link is a shortcut back to what you were reading.
Earlier verse notes are now journal entries — anything you noted on a verse before the journal arrived is waiting for you there, still private.
Who can read an entry
- Private (the default) — only you. Private entries can still be shared with specific friends, below.
- Public — any signed-in member who has the link can read the whole entry. Visitors who aren't signed in see only the first couple of lines, with an invitation to join — a small way your reflection can point someone toward the community.
There is no public list of journal entries and nothing like a feed — an entry travels only by the link you hand out.
Sharing with friends
On any entry you own, the Share with friends picker lists your friends — choose one and they can open that entry. Sharing is per entry and per friend, and you can remove a share anytime from the same place. Entries friends share with you appear under Shared with me on your Journal page. If a friendship ends or either of you blocks the other, the share stops working.
For minors
Journals on accounts for under-18s are always private — no public entries, no sharing. A linked parent can read their child's entries, the same way parents can already see their messages.
Safety
If someone shares or publishes an entry that concerns you, use the Report link at the bottom of it. Moderators can take a reported entry out of circulation; your own copy is never deleted by moderation.
