Your profile, privacy, notifications, and account lifecycle.
Profile
- Settings (or your avatar in the header) — display name, photo, timezone, and gender.
- Gender is private — never shown publicly. It's used only to check eligibility for men-only or women-only groups.
- Your photo and display name appear on posts, replies, and member lists.
Signing in
- Email + password, or a connected provider when enabled.
- Forgot your password? Reset it — the link signs you in to set a new one.
- New accounts confirm their email before full access.
Notifications
- The bell in the header shows unread count — open it for the full list.
- You're notified for join approvals, group invites, ownership transfers, parent decisions, mentorship updates, and moderation outcomes.
Deleting your account
- Account settings → delete account starts a 30-day grace period.
- Change your mind within 30 days at the reactivate page — full restore.
- After 30 days a daily job permanently purges your data. Past posts are anonymized to “Deleted user” so conversations don't break.
Deletion is real deletion — the purge runs server-side on a schedule, not on a whim. Keep anything you want before confirming.
