Terms of Use
Last updated: February 2026. By using Tethered in Faith you agree to these terms. The short version: be kind, be honest, and respect the community.
The service
Tethered in Faith is a free, donation-supported discipleship and community platform. Core features — Bible reading, devotionals, prayer wall, groups, mentorship, and discipleship tracks — are free for individuals, churches, and groups. We may change or discontinue features as the ministry grows.
Your account
- Provide accurate information when you register and keep your credentials confidential — you're responsible for activity under your account.
- Users under 18 need a parent or guardian's approval and are subject to the permissions that parent sets.
- You may delete your account at any time from Settings; see the Privacy Policy for how deletion works.
Community conduct
This is a space for encouragement, Scripture, and prayer. You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or demean other members, including based on gender, background, or beliefs.
- Post sexually explicit, hateful, or illegal content, or content that exploits minors in any way.
- Spam, advertise, or solicit money from members.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or church.
- Share another member's private information (contact details, messages, private profile fields) without their consent.
Group leaders may moderate their own groups; site moderators and admins may review reported content anywhere. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant us a license to display and distribute that content within the platform and to other members as the features require (for example, showing your prayer on the prayer wall or your post to your group's members). We may remove content for moderation, and anonymized remnants may remain after account deletion so conversations stay readable.
Mentors are not professionals
Mentors on this platform are volunteers offering spiritual encouragement and discipleship — they are not licensed counselors, therapists, medical providers, or lawyers, and their guidance is not professional advice. If you are in crisis, contact emergency services or a qualified professional. In the U.S., call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Scripture & resources
Bible translations and devotional content on the platform are used under their respective licenses or are in the public domain. Don't redistribute content from the platform beyond what those licenses allow.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability or that member-generated content is accurate. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the platform or interactions with other members.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. Questions? Reach us through the Talk to someone page or the report tools.
