Safety & moderation
How reporting works, who reviews it, and the protections built around minors.
Reporting content
- Report options appear on posts, replies, profiles, and messages.
- Pick a reason — reports flagged as safety concerns get priority in the review queue.
- Repeated reports on the same content can auto-hide it until a moderator reviews.
Who reviews
- Moderators — review reports, mentor applications, and mentor devotional submissions. They cannot manage users, appoint moderators, or touch background-check vetting.
- Admins — everything moderators do, plus user management, vetting decisions, and site configuration.
- Nobody can approve their own mentor application or self-grant minor clearance.
Protections around minors
- Family links gate prayer, groups, messaging, and mentorship behind parent permissions.
- Parent approvals are required wherever the parent set them — a child can't bypass with a crafted request.
- Adults-only groups reject minors at the database level; minors mentoring requires a passed background check.
- Parents can read a minor's messages (shown read-only to all parties).
If someone is in crisis
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. For thoughts of suicide or emotional crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US). To report child abuse, call the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-422-4453.
Community care works best when it's reported — if something feels off, report it rather than assuming someone else will.
